Parents, join us for this special workshop featuring internationally recognized Auditory-Verbal Therapy experts Warren Estabrooks and Karen MacIver-Lux.
“The Power of Parents” presented by Warren Estabrooks
As a parent, you are the most influential person in your child’s life. During this presentation, you will discover how to harness this power so you can help your child reach their fullest potential when choosing an Auditory-Verbal approach to learning language. Mr. Estabrooks will share ways you can become your child’s best advocate and ‘therapist’ by taking advantage of every day learning opportunities, and how you can stimulate your child’s love of language through creative activities and games.
“Listening in Color” presented by Karen MacIver-Lux
When it comes to understanding how hearing loss affects a child’s learning and outlook, there’s nothing like having been there yourself. During this insightful presentation, Ms. MacIver-Lux will share personal and professional perspectives on growing up with hearing loss and the benefits of Auditory-Verbal Therapy, including the importance of integrating different types of hearing technology into your child’s life.
