Listening for Life Conference with Warren Estabrooks and Karen MacIver-Lux
Techniques & Strategies for Optimal Listening and Spoken Language Outcomes for Children with Hearing Loss
Through lecture, video case study demonstrations, analysis and discussion, internationally recognized experts Warren Estabrooks and Karen MacIver-Lux will focus on the knowledge and clinical and teaching skills required to “raise the bar” on professional delivery of service to achieve optimal outcomes in children with hearing loss.
From this exceptional learning opportunity, workshop participants will earn CEU’s and be able to:
- Identify current clinical applications of auditory-verbal practice.
- Cite examples of “generalization of effect” by parents when using techniques and strategies.
- Explain a demonstrated “schemata” for developing and enhancing auditory learning.
- Discuss selection of target, techniques and strategies, subsequent diagnostic information and parent guidance.
