2012 Milwaukee Walk4Hearing
06/09/12 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join the Center for Communication, Hearing & Deafness and the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), for the Milwaukee Walk4Hearing on Saturday, June 9, at Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront.

Walk4Hearing LogoThe Milwaukee Walk4Hearing is part of a nationwide effort to make hearing loss an issue of national concern and to demonstrate to the community how many people — of all ages – are actually impacted by hearing loss.  In Wisconsin alone, more than 500,000 people are directly affected, and in the US, more than 36 million people have trouble hearing.

When you walk on the CCHD Walk4Hearing team, you be adding your voice to the cause and helping to spread the word about how many people are affected by hearing loss and face communication barriers and access to information and services on a daily basis.  You will also be directly supporting the Center for Communication, Hearing & Deafness and helping us raise money to support the Center’s state-of-the-art programs and services for children and adults throughout Wisconsin who are challenged by hearing loss.

Registration/check-in begins at 9:00 AM and the 3.1 mile walk will begin at 10:00 AM.  There is no set registration fee to participate but a $20 donation per adult is suggested.  Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome too!

You can also visit www.walk4hearing.org and set up your own team website and designate CCHD as the organization you want to help support.  Then, you can have the fun of setting up your own fundraising goals, and still help raise money directly for CCHD.
